Success

The word “Success” is used when people achieved their goals or what they wanted. At the same time, success is defined differently to different people based on their thoughts and beliefs which have been influenced by their environment. This could be widely varied depends on individuals. However, success is most commonly defined as being rich, powerful and be loved.

Many people tend to think success as being rich and earning lots of money. This is because if you have more money, you can enjoy your life much more without being stressed about any financial problems. Furthermore, the saying ‘There is nothing you cannot buy with money’ explains how much money is valuable and powerful in human’s life. Therefore, many people believe that being rich will enable them to fully enjoy their lives without worries and it will lead them to happiness.

Secondly, some people believe that being powerful is being successful. Being powerful could mean in high position to some people. However, for others it may not only means high position but it could mean being influential. People who think being in high position is a success, they believe that authority will enable them to enjoy their lives much better and convenient then it will finally bring happiness. As an example, CEO in a big company has more power and reputation which will be held in honor by others and have more authority to subordinates and as well as from outside of the company.

On the other hand, people who think being an influence person is a success believe that influencing others is more successful thing in their lives than being rich or in high position with reputation. For an instance, Oprah Winfrey is one of the most influential people in the world. Oprah Winfrey is neither president nor CEO of company, but she is a talk-show host in America. Oprah Winfrey is now one of the most influential people and she has even published her biography and it became a best seller. This is because everyone thinks that she is a successful woman whom they admire and want to be like. This also indicates that influential person can be powerful without any high position either in company or society.

Lastly, other than ambitious beliefs towards success such as being rich and powerful, people who take emotions and affections more importantly consider beloved and having a good family and relationship is a success. As love and affection is one of the basic needs in human’s life other than physical needs, they believe being loved and cared are essential success. This is because they do believe that even though affection and relationship are essential in people’s lives, it is not easy to achieve at the same time. Moreover, one of the reasons why many people believe in this belief is that they think people with stable relationship are more likely to be prosperous in any field compare to whom without. Therefore, number of people thinks having a good relationship with family and people around them then beloved by them is the most important in their lives.

To conclude, even though individuals have their own definition of success in their lives, the most typical thoughts of success are being rich, powerful and successful in relationship.
